RESTAURANTS

There are a ton of great restaurants in Little Italy, Gaslamp, and La Jolla. If you're in the mood for Asian food, you can find them mostly clustered on Convoy St. in Kearny Mesa. California burritos and fish tacos are a must try.

MAJOR TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

SeaWorld San Diego is conveniently located in Mission Bay as well. Another famous attraction is the San Diego Zoo which is located at Balboa Park. Balboa Park also has a bunch of museums, gardens, etc. La Jolla is also a popular destination for tourists. Oh and let's not forget about our beaches.

CULTURE

Dude, San Diego is super chill and the people here are nice. Easy to be happy when the sun is always out. Outdoor activities during the day include hiking, surfing, paddle boarding, going to the beach, and you get the idea. At night, people can go to North Park and Gaslamp for drinks, bar hopping, and clubbing.

Travel Tips
TRANSPORTATION

If you're traveling by air, San Diego airport (SAN) is the airport you'll be using. Note that ride sharing pick ups are in designated locations. At Terminal 1, exit from baggage claim and cross the sky bridge to meet your driver at the parking lot. At Terminal 2, meet curbside on the departures upper level between the American and United/Delta check-in counters.

THINGS TO BRING

You don't need heavy winter clothes since the weather in SD is probably warmer than what you're used to in mid-January. But it can get into the 50s at night so pack accordingly. During the daytime it should be a pleasant mid-60s.

Some of the things you might want to bring: sunblock, sunglasses, bathing suit, sandals, sneakers, light sweater, and formal clothes for the Saturday banquet.
